Where we are.
Welcome to Les Cygnes - three luxury gites in the heart of the Poitou-Charentes region of France.
Our gites are situated in the heart of Poitou-Charentes on the west coast of France, in easy travelling distance from Limoges, Poitiers and La Rochelle. This picturesque region averages 2,250 hours of sunshine per year, making it the second sunniest region in France and, therefore, ideal for visiting from early spring to late autumn
What you can see and do.
Our gites are the perfect base for site seeing in Poitou-Charentes as we are ideally located in south Deux-Sèvres, on the doorstep of the Vienne, Charente and Charente-Maritime regions of Poitou-Charentes. Therefore visitors of all age groups will be spoilt for choice of things to see and do. Including:
Zoodyssee, Valley of the Apes, Futuroscope, Le Venise Verte

Swimming Pool
Our private, 10 metre by 5 metre salt water swimming pool is surrounded by an ample terrace, providing an ideal spot for you to relax, soak up the sun then cool off with a refreshing dip
Also provided are sun loungers, large parasols and a shaded cabana for your comfort.
The pool is also fenced and has an AFNOR approved pool alarm for the security of you and your family.
Grounds
La Vigne and Le Poirier come with their own private patio areas and over 1 acre of landscaped gardens. Le Tilleul has an outside dining area set in the secluded courtyard. As well as the communal swimming pool, all gites will also benefit from 3 acres of meadow. Also in the grounds there are Volleyball/Badminton facilities and a petanque alley.
Games Room
A large indoor games room is available with a variety of games including table tennis, table football, darts etc.
Rooms and food.
Le Tilleul is a stylishly converted pigsty, with 3 bedrooms (sleeps 8) with a lovely mezzanine. Equipped with a large woodburner and heated bedrooms it is also perfect for renting in the winter months
Le Poirier and La Vigne are architect designed conversions of a 200 year old barn. Le Poirier sleeping 10, has 4 bedrooms (one en-suite) and La Vigne has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 with large sofa bed in the living room. Both have large sunken terraces with beautiful views overlooking the countryside and the village, including the Logis (a small 15th century castle).
Why we are special
Like many people we are extremely concerned about the protection of the environment.
This year and every year we are asking guests to help reduce their carbon footprint by planting trees, which will over time absorb your carbon dioxide emissions. This can be achieved in 2 ways
A donation to Les Cygnes will plant trees on our land to help create a wooded area to help erase the carbon usage in travelling to and staying in our gites.
