Stuttgart Design & Technology Sample Tour

DAY 1
Arrive into Stuttgart by your preferred method of transport. Free time to settle in and explore the local area before dinner.

Day 2
After breakfast the group will depart for a guided tour of the Mercedes/Daimler Chrysler factory. A visit of the factory gives a very impressive insight into modern and innovative car production. After lunch the group will visit the Mercedes Benz Museum. More than 110 years of automobile history is displayed here over three floors. The exhibition includes the "Blitzen Benz" which set a sensational world speed record of 228km/h in 1911 on Daytona Beach, plus limousines and sports cars from the 1920's to present day. Evening meal at your accommodation.

Day 3
After breakfast the group will depart for a visit to the Porsche Museum. Founded in 1975, this small museum has 20 unique Porsches on display. We can sometimes arrange a tour of the Porsche Car Plant but this must be booked well in advance and is subject to availability.
After lunch the group will visit the Gottlieb-Daimler Memorial (Gedächtnisstätte). It was at this location that Daimler and his protégé Wilhelm Maybach carried out their secret experiments to produce the world's first internal combustion engine. He also invented the motor-bike in 1885, and in 1886 a motor boat and four wheeled car. Evening meal at your accommodation.


Day 4
After breakfast the group will visit the TV Tower. At over 200 metres high, the tower offers the most spectacular views of the city and excellent photo opportunities. Depart for home around midday

Day 5
You'll have a free morning to take photos and do some last minute gift shopping before heading back to the UK.
