DAY 1
Arrive in Prague by your chosen mode of transport. Time to settle in and explore the local area before dinner.

Day 2
After breakfast the group will depart for a mornings sightseeing tour of the city with an experienced English speaking guide. After lunch, you can have a guided visit of a Czech Radio Station where you'll hear about the history of Czech radio broadcasting and have a tour of the old studios and the newly reconstructed recording studio used for the symphony orchestra. Evening meal to be taken at the hotel.

Day 3
After breakfast the group will depart for the Skoda Car Factory, which lies about 60km from Prague in Mlada Boleslav. During this fascinating two-part visit, your pupils see both the Skoda Museum and the Skoda factory, where they get to view the production line and assembly hall.
After lunch your group heads to the lovely spa town of Podebrady and the Bohemia Glassworks centre, where the unique processes involved in the production of crystal (such as glass blowing, cutting and pressing) are unveiled beneath your very eyes. The coach then returns you to your hotel for dinner.

Day 4
After breakfast the group will depart for the wonderful Museum of Tramcars, which holds an extensive array of uniforms, timetables, and, of course, trams. To complement this visit, you can enjoy Prague's Historic Tram sightseeing tour. Evening meal at the hotel.

Day 5
You'll have a free morning to take photos and do some last minute gift shopping before heading back to the UK.

Visits can be made subject to availiability.

Bohemia Crystal Factory
Visit to the Bohemian crystal factory in the spa town of Podebrady. The tour begins with a visit to the furnaces, where teams of workers produce pressed and blown glass. The tour continues with an explanation of the glass cutting processes and a chance to see this in action in the cutting shop. At the end of the visit, the group will have the opportunity to visit the crystal shop, where items are sold at reduced prices.

CERGE Institute
An economics lecture at the CERGE Institute can be arranged. The presentation begins with a basic introduction to the Czech republic, including an historical overview. It continues with an explanation of the political system, the economic development, Gross Domestic Product, sector shares, State budgets, inflation, unemployment and import/export. At the end of the presentation, a question and answer session will be possible.

Staropramen Brewery
Visit to the Staropramen brewery for a guided tour of the production process followed by a tasting. The group will have the opportunity to see the storage of the raw materials and the fermentation process (at a controlled temperature) in both open tanks and closed vats. The guide will then describe the canning and barreling processes. During the tasting session, the guide will talk about the background of the brewery, export opportunities and the company's take over by another Belgium brewery.

U Fleku Brewery
The most famous Prague beer cellar, U Fleku, was founded in 1499 and is mentioned in many tourist guidebooks. This complex of several historical pubs (total capacity of approx. 1100 seats) is supplied by its own ancient brewery, which produces the unique dark FLEKOVSKÉ beer. A visit will give an insight into the brewery with a tasting and information about this important entertainment and gastronomic centre.

Skoda Car Plant
The visit begins with a video presentation on the company and then continues with a visit to the Skoda Museum, built in an old factory building to commemorate the Centenary of the company. The guide will explain the history of the company and its cars. The group will be shown the design process and see how a car is made. The visit continues with a chance to view the production plant itself. Usually the group is able to visit both the engine assembly plant and the final assembly line, where the various stages of production can be seen from a raised viewing platform.

Skoda Tram and Metro Plant

Velke Popovice
In 1871 industrialist František Ringhoffer constructed a brewery, which was technically advanced for its time. Today's Velkopopovický kozel is one of the three most popular beers in the Czech Republic and Velke Popovice is the fifth biggest brewery in the country. The brewery is situated 30km south-east of Prague. The guide gives a detailed talk on the traditional production process and the extensive tour includes visits to the malt making unit, the brewing unit and the bottling unit.
